Fiasco is on the move! In 2024, our team collectively kicked things up a notch, both on the road and in our routines. We’re committed to maintaining momentum into the new year too. From running marathons to cycling commutes, we’re embracing an active lifestyle and making changes to incorporate more physical exercise into our daily routines.
As a certified B Corp, we’re committed to fostering a studio culture where creativity can thrive. So over the years we’ve put a lot of thought into how best to support our team’s well-being and it’s great to see how people are swapping four wheels for two (or none) and adopting a more active way of life.
Running into the future
In 2024 we collectively walked, cycled and ran a whopping 15,000km. Or, in other words, the equivalent of the distance from Bristol to New Zealand. We think that’s pretty impressive.
Project Manager Marj’s dedication to fitness began with a determined goal: training for the Brighton Marathon. Now in 2025, after a period of ankle rehab— she’s back hitting the pavement regularly on social runs with the Southville Running Club or solo efforts.
Mike and Josh took on the challenge of the Manchester Marathon together, pushing their limits and setting impressive personal records. Unfortunately, Finance Director Jason’s marathon training was cut short by an injury, but his determination remains. As soon as he is all healed, he has vowed to complete the run.

In addition to these (literal) marathon efforts, Ben, Mike, Chris, Hayley and Claudia smashed the 2024 Bristol 10K on a hot and cloudless day. Designer Claudia has surprised herself with the sense of joy she’s found in running:
I hadn’t run over a mile in years, and I mean, probably since high school. Running gave me a sense of purpose last year when things felt a little up in the air in my personal life. Loving it so much, I’ve signed up for the Bath Half this year!

A different commute
Tom, one half of our development team, has completely transformed his daily routine by ditching the car and opting for running or cycling to the studio. The benefits are huge; he saves on petrol, gets a workout and contributes positively to the environment. At the end of the day, Tom’s evening rides are more than just a commute; he’s turned them into a mini adventure that has taken him as far as Chepstow:
I’ve ditched the car commute in favour of running or cycling into the studio. The fresh air is a real wake-up call, and the longer bike rides are an opportunity to discover new places. It’s not just about the physical workout; it’s a daily adventure I look forward to.

Mike, Partner & Digital Lead, achieved several impressive running achievements, including completing the Maverick Jurassic 100km Ultra 2024, along the beautiful Jurassic Coast. Whilst Account Manager Hannah has us all on board for this year’s Westonbirt Arboretum 10K, convincing us with the perks of signing up for a proper race and the chance to run through some stunning scenery:
I wanted to do some kind of formal race and chose the 10K at Westonbirt. It was a lovely winding route through the grounds, and I would definitely recommend it.

Fiasco in motion
Our studio culture makes it easier for everyone to stay active and choose a commute that suits them. Flexible working hours have long been a cornerstone here, letting everyone start later or take longer lunches to fit in some exercise. We also have shower facilities and secure bike storage at Gather Round, making it easier for everyone to integrate exercise into their daily routine without worrying about the logistics.
On top of individual exercise achievements and unlocking new habits, our Summer Hours, where everyone takes Fridays off, has encouraged us to get outdoors together. A chance for us to hang out outside of the studio, have fun, and enjoy some fresh air.

Looking Forward
We’re always proud of the diverse activities our team is involved in, from marathons and cycling commutes to creative pursuits, and we’re excited to see what 2025 has in store.
To help maintain the momentum, we’ve offered to cover the entry fee for a sporting event of everyone’s choosing. Be it—5k, 10k, ultra, cycle, swim or walk. There’s even a new dedicated Slack channel to offer ideas and motivation.
Our commitment to fostering a culture that prioritises well-being goes beyond just physical fitness. It’s about creating a supportive environment where everyone can thrive both personally and professionally. Onwards.
