What a bloody good night, literally! We embarked on the fun and frightful frolic that was Trick or Treat. An exhibition of new streetart by RPM, Rich T, Sickboy, Mudwig, Eko and Russell Maurice presented by Hangfire. This wasn’t just an exhibition showcasing over 60 original new pieces of work, but a Halloween experience I won’t forget for a while.
From walking into a spooky tunnel just to get to the main event, I could tell a lot of consideration and planning went into the curation of the event as well as the venue and the work. After grabbing myself a goblet of punch I embarked on a Halloween extravaganza. Although an extremely wet night, it didn’t hold anyone back from throwing on their Halloween attire and showing support. The artwork was strong and had enough diversity to keep me interested from start to finish. Trick or Treat games were a brilliant touch (that must remain a secret) and having to look through a rather dodgy looking peep hole to view one of the installations made the whole event very interactive.
Trick or Treat oozed fun, it was a pleasure to go along to an exhibition which wasn’t flat and stagnant. It was a circus of visual treats which we highly recommend. If you’re not too scared, go and check it out! But quick, because this Saturday the 3rd Nov on Princess Victoria Street is your last chance to see it!
