Easter is upon us! A time of treasure and intrigue. Here at Fiasco we thought we’d share some of our own discoveries in a fitting cryptic fashion. A sort of DIY news that gets you to do the unwrapping to get to the sweet chocolatey prize.
This weekend a UK charity is set to break the Guinness World Record for the most people participating in an Egg Hunt. Over 200 beautifully crafted egg sculptures by leading artists and designers are up for auction. But first, they must be discovered by fellow city dwellers using “clues that will test even the savviest of Sherlocks!” If you can find the Egg Hunt we’re talking about they have a beautifully illustrated website to reward your investigative work.
Next up another Easter Egg hunt is underway but this time it’s on Facebook. In celebration of their history of promoting “excellence in creative communications” our second organisation who “kick-start careers in design and advertising” have hidden 7 Easter Eggs across their extensive Facebook Timeline. Founded in 1962 it features a stunning 50 years of Award winning creative work. If you can find them, you might be able to win yourself a small prize. If you haven’t got it yet all you creatives out there, maybe a yellow pencil would help jog your memory.
Next up, new comedic life has been hatched in a hit mobile app featuring all things Eastery. With rumours of this app’s success catapulting it’s furry friends all the way to Hollywood, this update features 15 new levels in the new theme with bunny ears and chocolate eggs. More madness for an already crazy game, this one is free for those on Android!
In our previous post, we praised the 8-bit brilliance of Quest Mode on Google Maps and it doesn’t stop there because Quest mode features a few Easter Eggs of it’s own. How you can find them we will leave up to you. All we can say is when it comes to browsing google maps in 8-bit you Reddit here first.
Finally, to offset the inevitable choc-fest of Easter (despite those eggs being hollow?) Fiasco has discovered some fruity posters by designers Ollie Wolf and Janson Choo that are bound to encourage some healthy eating. Think fruit stickers meets gold stars. If that tickles your fancy, we wish you good luck and godspeed on your internet investigation. If you really do have trouble finding these stories, we’d love to help you out. Leave a comment and we’ll get back to you. Here’s wishing you a fun filled Easter from all at Fiasco Design!
